Key Accountabilities include:
Manage the day-to-day operations associated with drilling and well evaluation including planning and scheduling.
Implement the well plan, time and cost targets.
Responsible for safe & flawless execution of wells in ultra deep water with complex well designs, shallow hazards and extreme met-ocean conditions such as hurricanes and loop currents.
Manage and monitor safety compliance and regulatory requirements as well as lead initial incident investigations.
Manage timely and accurate reporting of HSE, operational and other performance and activity statuses.
Ensure adherence to safe working practices through active engagement with contractors and all rig personnel.
Resolve operational problems as they arise.
Monitor and control costs.
Status: Contract
Required Skills/Experience:
Must have a minimum of 15+ years of drilling experience at a supervisory level, with proven ability to manage complex well operations in demanding environments.
Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in deepwater operations in a supervisory level-leading complex wells in GOM or similar environments (Moored + DP vessels) elsewhere.
Must have strong leadership skills and integrity as well as a high degree of operational and technical capability to safely achieve best in class performance.
Must have proven and a natural and unforced leadership style with strong motivation, and excellent communication skills at all levels.
Must possess the capability to manage and resolve complex operational problems and to have a clear grasp of the objectives of the operation from a business perspective.
